How fear shows up in your website copy

May 22, 2026

Did your fears accidentally make a ton of your website decisions?

“I can’t share my process because people will steal it!”

“I can’t talk about my methodology because it makes my work sound too simple!”

“I can’t share my pricing because it’ll scare people off / I’m uncomfortable with it being public / competitors will just undercut me!” (There’s a lot around pricing.)

“I can’t publish that niche because I haven’t worked with 100s of clients in that space yet!”

“I can’t narrow who I’m speaking to on my site because I can’t afford to turn anyone away!”

Friends, you’re not alone. I’ve been here with all of these (I won’t share my current hangups, and dear god, don’t try to guess!). I’ve seen all of these many times over with clients — and talked them off the ledge.

The thing is, if you’re doing that rebrand and website design to look more elite… please, don’t pull your punches with what your site actually says. You know, what potential clients read to decide whether to reach out or not, no biggie.

Take the swing. Write to who you actually want to work with. You’re not new at this, you’re not shy about charging what you charge, and you’re the expert they’ve been looking for.

If you need help sorting through how to land this message across your site and accountability to follow through, you know where to find me.

xoxo, your favorite website freak,

Krista

P.S. New client feedback:

Krista’s website messaging process sculpts my business into the best, most premium version of itself; and because she’s already in the world of premium clients she knows exactly what it takes to get there.

She sees potential you haven’t fully named yet and finds the right words that ring true to both you and your clients.” >>> View the full project.
