How to have focused messaging on your website and still do it all behind the scenes

August 7, 2026

Forever shouting this:

You can focus your website and your marketing to reap the benefits of niching. And then…. still do whatever the hell you want behind the scenes when it suits you.

Personal example:

My marketing and website tell you I am a website copywriter for premium services (and tbh, I’m going more niche soon).

This means I am known for one thing.

It’s easy to refer me for this one thing. I know what to talk about on podcasts. I know what rooms to get my name into. I know how to run sales calls.

And importantly: People seeking an EXPERT for this one thing will likely choose me over a generalist writer or a big marketing agency doing 100 things.

(People seeking experts = people willing to pay expert rates.)

BUT ALSO

I work with past clients on course launches, lead magnets, other stuff.
I have referral pipelines for totally different types of clients.
I white-label with other agencies / designers I admire who serve different markets.

I basically talk about none of this publicly, because it would dilute my marketing and website and make it worse. And…. I still get to do it.

If the fear of turning away business (or the fear of getting bored) is keeping your website vague, I hope this helps alleviate some of that fear.

It really is a both/and win/win type of situation.

There are no rules when you are in charge!

xoxo, your favorite website freak,
Krista
